Crescent Link Fire Station keeps warm with CHP....                                                                Oct 10

As part of continued environmental and cost savings at NI Fire & Rescue, LCS have successfully installed a new Tedom 30kwe CHP unit at Crescent Link Fire Station in Londonderry.  The system will operate 24 hrs/day providing heating of domestic hot water for the station and accomodation areas.  The CHP matches the electrical demand of the site, keeping the consumption of electricity to a minimum.  LCS continues to operate and maintain the system for the fire service to ensure maximum benefit.

 

Greystones Leisure Centre CHP gets fit....                                                                               Sep 10

LCS has taken over the operation and maintenance of the installed CHP unit at the leisure centre.  As part of the contract, LCS has reconfigured the control system and repaired many faults on the unit.  The unit now maximises the financial and environmental savings achievable.

 

Blackrock College creates electricity with CHP....                                                                   Jan 10

Under a partnership with Blackrock College, LCS has installed a Tedom 125kwe CHP unit.  The system provides electricity to the college whilst at the same time providing space heating, domestic hot water and pool water heating.  The scheme was part funded by the SEI CHP Deployment Grant scheme with LCS providing the funding for the rest of the CHP under a long term energy services contract.  The CHP is operated and maintained by LCS engineers who also have remote access to the CHP unit ensuring that it achieves maximum availablity.

 

Bath Leisure Centre gets restarted....                                                                                      Jun 09

LCS have completed the reinstatement of the CHP unit at the Leisure Centre which has not operated for several years.  The CHP unit has had a full mechanical & electrical overhaul and now operates at high efficiency producing financial and environmental savings for the council.  The cost of the refurb was financed by LCS and the electricity is purchased from the CHP at a discount to current electricity prices.

 

Ballyearl gets all fired up…..                                                                                                  May 09

Ballyearl Arts & Leisure Centre has recently installed a woodchip boiler to provide heating and hot water for the complex.  LCS will supply woodchip from locally sourced and recycled woodchip suppliers.

 

St Cadocs Hospital given new lease of life....                                                                         Apr 09

The full refurbishment of 2 x 37kwe CHP units at the hospital has been completed by LCS.  These units are two of the oldest installed in Wales and are now once again operating, making financial and environmental savings for the trust.  The units have had a full engine overhaul and been fitted with an new control system offering full remote control which maximises the plant availability.  The total cost of the refurbishment was financed by LCS and the electricity is bought at a discount to the regional electricity company.

 

Bridgend Recreation Centre gets a new lease of life………….                                Jan 09

LCS have taken over the operation and maintenenance of the CHP unit at Bridgend Leisure Centre.  It has been fitted with a new microprocessor control system which allows LCS service department to monitor the performance and despatch engineer to site if necessary.
